![]() GTA with way too much story and no freeplay. As far as I can see, this game seems to offer much less than any number of movies, since THAT*s exactly the atmosphere they are aiming for. But the thing is, as long as there is mod support, ANY game that has character customization will be infinetly more replayable, and usually also more immersive and immanent than any game that simply exists because there is some story some inane game designer wants to narrate. And they did try to MILK that with launching DLC's that added nothing of worth. And let's take the XCOM games as an example here, they too, vanilla, were pretty meager in regards to variety in customization. This community wiki's goal is to be a repository of Empire of Sin related knowledge, useful for both new and experienced players and for modders. If you want a nice looking and railroady narrative, then sure, you may have a point there, but I enjoy more immersive, immanent and "sandboxy" games. I.E everyone looks so generic and similar and it waters down the experience, you're left wondering why add such a useless feature and you go back to use premade bosses. When you get a character creator in a game like Empire of Sin every person you create has 1 of 3 possible heads, 1 out 4 possible outfits, 1 of possible 2 lame voiceovers, no sound/voice in conversations with NPCs. The created characters all look same and cookie cutter AF. Wastelands 3 I would have rather had NICE premade sets with their own story and voice overs and detailed gear and facial features.
